About Our Team

Our team of eye care professionals provide exams, diagnoses and treatments of all disorders of the eye and the vision. Our doctors stay current on the latest advancements in the profession by regularly attending continuing education seminars and training courses.

Benjamin D. Crowell, OD, FAAO

Benjamin D. Crowell, OD, FAAO

Optometrist

Dr. Crowell joined this practice in August 2012. A native of the Southeast, Dr. Crowell has worked 15 years in the eye care industry, beginning his career as a certified optician for six years prior to attending Optometry school where he graduated with Professional and Academic Honors.

He also trained at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute before completing a Residency program at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he also supervised and taught optometry students. After a few years of private practice on the East Coast and obtaining his fellowship in ocular disease/primary care, Dr. Crowell relocated to the Northwest.

Gurpinderjeet Kaur, OD, FAAO

Gurpinderjeet Kaur, OD, FAAO

Optometrist

Dr. Kaur joined this practice in November 2017. She is trained in primary care optometry, managing a variety of eye diseases, and contact lenses. Dr. Kaur grew up in Kent and graduated from Kentridge High School. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2007. She later received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2011. In 2012, Dr. Kaur then completed an ocular disease residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and received her fellowship in ocular disease. Dr. Kaur was most recently faculty at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center where she served as Director of Resident and Technician Education. She also directly supervised and trained optometry students and residents. While working at the VA, she also served as adjunct faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry and The Ohio State College of Optometry. She has published several articles in well-respected journals. Dr. Kaur has received extensive training in diagnosing and managing sight threatening ocular diseases, ocular emergencies and co-managing surgical procedures. In her spare time, Dr. Kaur enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Anaya, and two dogs. She also enjoys cooking, reading and hiking.

Jason A. Sifrit, OD, FAAO

Jason A. Sifrit, OD, FAAO

Optometrist

Dr. Sifrit received his doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2004. In 2005, Dr. Sifrit also completed a residency program at the Illinois College of Optometry with an emphasis on ocular disease where he supervised and trained optometry students. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, his home state.

Dr. Sifrit was most recently a member of faculty at the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology where he became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) specializing in ocular disease management. In this clinical setting he participated in numerous clinical studies and has published multiple papers. He has practiced in a wide range of clinical modalities including, private practice, tertiary care centers, and hospital-based eye care in Alaska, Illinois, Georgia and New York. These experiences along with a humanitarian mission to Nicaragua have provided him with an opportunity to treat a vast array of eye conditions.

Dr. Sifrit is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, King County Optometric Society, and Optometric Physicians of Washington.

In his spare time, Dr. Sifrit enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, Maggie and Holly. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and golfing.
